Case Study: Delivering the largest 3D-printed project in the World

Back in November 2019, Engineering Contracting Company (ECC) revealed that they were the main contractor for the largest 3D-printed project in the world. Working in partnership with Dubai Municipality, the company has achieved a Guinness World Record on the project, which is located in the Al Warsan area of Dubai. The construction of the project faced multiple challenges, and it underwent extensive research and ‘Trial and Error’ testing for structural integrity, inclement weather conditions and the land topography, which all required innovative solutions to overcome.

In this presentation, Kareem Farah shares the journey undertaken by ECC and Dubai Municipality to deliver this project and showcase this new technology to the world, delivering on the vision for the project, which was to create an efficient development that is in line with the new futuristic vision for Dubai – To become the leading hub of 3D-printing technology by the year 2030.
